DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026 · Effective only after counsel review

KinStation respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe content on KinStation — including a Board cover image, a Card hero image, a Group cover image, a Journal or Habitat Lab photo, a community post, or any other user-submitted or linked material — infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to us as described below.

How to report — filing a takedown notice

To report allegedly infringing material, send a written notice to the contact address below. To be effective, your notice must include, at minimum:

Where to send a notice

Send DMCA notices to KinStation’s copyright contact:

Email: [email protected]
Operator (until forwarding is in place): [email protected]

Note: KinStation has not yet registered a designated copyright agent with the US Copyright Office; that registration is a pending owner action. Until it is complete, direct all copyright notices to the contact above, and please put “DMCA Notice” in the subject line so we can route it quickly.

What happens after a valid notice

We aim to review and act on valid notices — removing or disabling access to the identified material — within a reasonable time, and we will make a good-faith effort to notify the user who posted or linked the material.

Counter-notice

If material you posted or linked was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. A counter-notice must include:

If a counter-notice is received, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant informs us they have filed a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We may terminate, without prior notice, the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.

Knowingly false notices

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or, in a counter-notice, that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
